We encourage a yoga practice that flows with the beauty of Ashtanga, aligns with the intelligence of Iyengar, and rests in the mindfulness of Vipassana.

Jake & Mandy

We live and breathe the practice of yoga in everything we do. We aren’t just instructors; we embody the principles of yoga both on and off the mat. Each of us has a deep, personal commitment to growth, mindfulness, and wellness, practicing daily to deepen our own understanding and skills. This dedication translates into a genuine, passionate teaching style that inspires and uplifts students. By constantly learning, adapting, and challenging ourselves, we bring authenticity and integrity to every class, guiding students with compassion and insight rooted in our own journey. For us, yoga is more than a job—it’s a way of life.

Yoga is 99% practice and 1% theory.

Our Approach: Alignment Meets Flow

Our approach could be described as Neo Ashtanga; an Iyengar-inspired evolution of traditional Ashtanga yoga. We combine the dynamic breath-led flow of Ashtanga with a strong emphasis on alignment, body awareness, and sustainable practice.

Using thoughtful instruction, precise adjustments, and supportive tools such as blocks and straps, we help students develop strength, mobility, stability, and clarity in a safe and accessible way.

Neo Ashtanga honours the discipline and transformative power of traditional practice while recognising that yoga must also fit realistically within modern life. Whether through daily Mysore practice or shorter, consistent sessions, the aim is to cultivate a practice, and a lifestyle, that supports balance, resilience, and self-understanding both on and off the mat.
