Terms & Conditions - Classes & Subscriptions (from 1st May 2025)

1. Fair Payment Scheme

1.1. The Fair Payment Scheme is based on a sliding scale to ensure accessibility, trust, and inclusivity.

1.2. Students are encouraged to choose a pricing option that reflects their financial situation, attendance frequency, and appreciation for the community.

1.3. This system relies on the honesty and participation of students to support the sustainability of the Mysore program.

2. Monthly Fees & Payment

2.1. Monthly fees cover all regularly scheduled classes.

2.2. Fees must be paid on the 1st of each month via standing order or cash.

2.3. Payments are non-refundable, non-transferable, and no partial payments will be accepted.

2.4. If a student is away for part of the month, they may choose to pay the drop-in rate instead of a monthly fee.

2.5. Monthly fees remain fixed throughout the year, even in months with 31 days, where students benefit from extra practice days at no additional cost.

2.6. Annual Leave: There will be no classes during the last two weeks of August and December for annual leave. During these months, a reduced monthly fee will be requested to reflect the shorter schedule.

3. Class Cancellations & Teacher Substitutions

3.1. Occasionally, classes may be cancelled due to illness or other unforeseen circumstances.

3.2. Where possible, a substitute teacher will be arranged to ensure continuity of practice.

3.3. No substitute teacher will be arranged for the last two weeks of August and December, as these are designated annual leave periods. During these months we kindly request participants who pay a monthly subscription to pause their standing order and make a partial payment (half the usual amount).

4. Pricing Tiers

Students must select a tier that aligns with their attendance and financial situation:

  • Entry (£50/month) For those attending once a week

  • Basic (£72/month) For those attending twice a week

  • Living Range (£96/month) For those attending three times a week.

  • Kindness Range (£120/month) For students attending more than three times a week and/or those wishing to support the community, the teachers and Ashtanga yoga in Yorkshire.

5. Drop-In Fees & Booking

5.1. Drop-ins are only available for students with an established Mysore practice.

5.2. All drop-in sessions must be booked through the online booking system.

  • One-Week Drop-In (£40)

  • One-Off Drop-In (£13.50)

  • One-Off Drop-In (Concession Rate) £10

6. Beginners Drop-In

6.1. New students may attend a Beginners Drop-In (£25), which includes two classes within seven days.

6.2. Beginners drop-ins must be booked via the online booking system.

7. Virtual Mysore Online Prices

7.1. Virtual Mysore sessions are only available for students with an established Mysore practice.

7.2. All online sessions must be booked through the online booking system.

  • One-Month Virtual Mysore Pass (£50)

  • One-Off Virtual Mysore Drop-In (£7.50)

8.Health & Safety

8.1. You must inform the teacher of any pre-existing injury or illness that may be relevant to your participation.

8.2. If you experience pain or illness during any class or workshop, you should stop and rest

9. Important Notes

9.1. Regular classes are held on moon days, but students are encouraged to modify their practice.

9.2. Visiting students with an established practice are welcome to attend.

9.3. Monthly payments must be made via standing order, while all other payments including drop in and virtual classes must be made through the online booking system.

9.4. Payments are not accepted by card.

By enrolling in the program, you acknowledge and agree to these terms and conditions.

Terms & Conditions - Workshops & Events

1. Cancellation & Refund Policy

1.1. If you cancel your place 60 days or more before the workshop start date, you will receive a full refund minus a 15% admin & inconvenience fee.

1.2. If you cancel less than 60 days before the workshop, no refund will be given unless your place can be filled from a waiting list, in which case you will receive a refund minus a 15% admin & inconvenience fee.

1.3. If the event is cancelled by Jake Duckworth Yoga, you will be offered a full refund.

2. Event Changes & Cancellations

2.1. Some courses or workshops may become temporarily or permanently unavailable due to teacher cancellations, low bookings, or other unforeseen circumstances.

2.2. We reserve the right to make changes to the programme, courses, or teachers as necessary.

2.3. Alternative arrangements will be offered where possible, but if these are not accepted, we do not accept responsibility for any costs incurred, including travel expenses.

3. Health & Safety

3.1. You must inform the teacher of any pre-existing injury or illness that may be relevant to your participation.

3.2. If you experience pain or illness during any class or workshop, you should stop and rest.
